ILLUSTRATION / FREELANCE EXPERIENCE_____________________________________________________

 

Freelance Illustrator/Designer, Sarasota, FL. 2012–Present.

Designed, illustrated and 3D modeled for variety of clients. Created: designs/illustrations for t-shirts, logos, and promotional works for both local and widely-known bands (such as posthardcore band La Dispute); 3D animal models for indie RPG video game company; 4-minute animated music video created in Adobe Premiere; car and skateboard decals, stickers, and portraits for private clients.

Sarasota Scene Magazine Art Director/Designer, Sarasota, FL. 2017–Present.

Single-handedly designed high-end visuals and prepared 124+ page local publication which was shipped across the continent:

  • Contacting and working with clients to prepare and design advertisements.

  • Designing magazine's features and monthly departments for upscale demographic.

  • Photo editing, uploading articles through Wordpress to update online magazine, creating banner ads to spark interest in features and articles.

  • Assisting with on-location photoshoots, i.e. visual styling, pre-production, and layout. 

 

Hasbro, Inc. Workshop, Ringling College of Art and Design, Sarasota, FL. November 2016–March 2017

Took part in portfolio-based workshop with Hasbro in order to perfect sculpting for toy design:

  • Sculpted primarily in Zbrush.

  • Focus on anatomical build and joint articulation of an action figure.

Disney Imagineer Project Member, Ringling College of Art and Design, Sarasota, FL. August–December 2014.

Collaborated with three students and a Creative Director at Disney Imagineering to design a hotel and resort based out of a foreign country as part of an International Management course:

  • Researched culture and trends based in that country and how it could be assimilated with a themed resort.

  • Designed and conceptualized an entire resort, layout, and experience.

 

Cirque du Soleil Project Member, Ringling College of Art and Design, Sarasota, FL. January–May 2014.

Collaborated  ­with three students and a Creative Director at Cirque du Soleil to design a new nightclub entertainment experience as part of a Leadership in Creative Environments course:

  • Researched trends in nightlife entertainment.

  • Designing new and original concepts for a Cirque du Soleil nighttime entertainment venue for 2020.

Digital Checkout Photo Studio Monitor, Ringling College of Art and Design, Sarasota, FL. August 2013–2016.

Overseeing use of the photo studio:

  • Training and being trained on new upcoming camera and digital equipment

  • Assisting in professional documentation of work and photo shoots.

Represented my school by giving in-depth tours to prospective students:

  • Visiting counselors, and curious professionals who were interested in Ringling College of Art and Design.

  • Clerical work, such as operating the main switchboard for the college.

Fluent in Painting, Drawing in multitude of mediums, Digital Illustration Techniques, and traditional 3D Design Techniques, such as Chiseling, Clay Sculpture, Armature Build, and Wood Shop. Advanced proficiency and experience in software applications such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, InDesign, ZBrush, Keyshot, Cinema 4D, Blender, WordPress and Microsoft Office Suite. Advanced working knowledge of business skills, such as budgeting, management, trending research, and accounting.
